“Mother Load - Nourishing You, Nurturing the Earth. Compost, Grow, Repeat.”
The goal of this project was to create packaging which encouraged sustainability. I approached creating an environmentally friendly package which would educate the consumer on composting and encourage them to engage in building a sustainable future. I decided I wanted to focus on meal kits as my product because they are a trending product which has been linked to significant waste.

My target audience is environmentally conscious consumers, individuals interested in sustainable living, and those seeking convenient yet eco-friendly meal options. By combining innovative design with educational components, the “MotherLoad” meal kit package design aims to inspire consumers to make environmentally conscious choices and actively participate in creating a sustainable future.

My purpose with this design was to create something minimalistic which still conveyed the refreshing nature of a homecooked meal with an eco-friendly twist. The righthand side of the box describes the meal the box includes. While the lefthand side of the box, illustrations represent the composting process for the package. Imagery depicts a thriving plant to reinforce the positive impact of composting.

I used an earthy and natural color palette to convey the environmental theme, while representing freshness and accessibility to vegetables.
